GreatSTART Wage Supplement
The Great START wage supplement program rewards child care professionals for education they have attained in Early Childhood/Child Development and commitment to their work site.
General program requirements:
Work in an eligible DCFS licensed child care center or home for a minimum of one year - Earn a predetermined maximum dollar amount per hour
- Work 15 hours or more per week
- Meet specific educational requirements above minimum DCFS requirements for your employed position.
Wage supplements are paid directly to the child car professional and may range from $300 to $3900 per year.
