Quality Counts Grants

The Quality Counts Child Care Grant Program has been created to improve the quality and expand the services of home-based, center-based and school-age child care programs across Illinois. The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), Bureau of Child Care & Development, provides funding for this grant program.

Child Care programs that are listed on the CCR&R provider/referral database and are currently providing legal child care in one of the following counties are eligible to submit a grant proposal: Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Mason, Menard, Montgomery, Morgan, Sangamon, or Scott. Programs may apply for facility improvement, professional resources, parent resources, or materials/equipment for children. All applicants are encouraged to attend the Bidder’s Conference to learn about state and local priorities and the grant writing process.

Grant Applications available: January 2, 2008 on CCCC website, office, or by mail if requested

January 12, 2008 - Litchfield

Grants due: Applications are due to COMMUNITY CHILD CARE CONNECTION, INC. office by February 22, 2008 no later than 4:00PM. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Applications must be received in office by day/time stated above. No postmarked applications will be accepted.

The list of commonly asked questions included in the guidelines will assist you with completing your grant proposal and answer many of your questions regarding the grant program’s policies.
