Library Hours: Monday 9:00am - 4:30pm; Tuesday & Wednesday 8:00am - 4:30pm; Thursday 8:00am - 6:30pm; Friday 8:00 - 4:30pm.

What does the Lending Library offer?

The Lending Library is available to all child care programs, parents, and community members who have an interest in the field of early childhood education, have registered through the Resource Specialist, and who have paid the library's annual membership fee. The lending library has a wide variety of CD's, activity kits, videos, DVD's, resource books and children's books and much more, available for checkout. Use of the Accu-cut machine and lamination also are available.

Quality Counts Van Service

Members living outside of the Springfield area, may have resources delivered to their child care home or center by the Quality Counts Van. The QC Van delivers to library members that live outside of Springfield in the following counties: Sangamon, Christian, Montgomery, Macoupin, Logan, Mason, Menard, Scott, Morgan.

Accu-cut

The library has Accu-cut machines and dies which are available for use during regular library business hours. There is no charge for use of the Accu-cut machine. You may choose to bring in your own paper or construction paper is available for a nominal fee.

Activity Kits

The lending library offers themed activity kits for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children that include educational games, book, art, supplies, media materials, and much more. A list of the activity kits is linked below.

Laminating

The laminating machine is also avaliable to members during regular library business hours to drop off your projects and have them laminated by the library staff. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for completion of your lamination. Please contact the Resource Specialist for a list of prices for these project. CCCC does not accept responsibilty for damage or loss of materials, which could occur during the laminating process.

How Do I Join?

To become a member, you must request a registration packet from our office or download the form here. Submit the completed form along with the annual membership fee. Lending Library Policy

Literacy Activities

The CCCC lending library offers FREE monthly literacy activities to all programs registered in our database (see How Do I Join?). Literacy activities can include books, writing journals, art materials, and other valuable information. The activities vary and focus on infants and toddlers to preschoolers and school-agers. LIbrary membership is not required for access to literacy activities.
