GreatSTART Wage Supplement

The Great START wage supplement program rewards child care professionals for education they have attained in Early Childhood/Child Development and commitment to their work site.

General program requirements:

Work in an eligible DCFS licensed child care center or home for a minimum of one year
Earn a predetermined maximum dollar amount per hour
Work 15 hours or more per week
Meet specific educational requirements above minimum DCFS requirements for your employed position.

Wage supplements are paid directly to the child car professional and may range from $300 to $3900 per year.
