Sex Offender Registration

Any person convicted of a felony sex crime or an attempt to commit a felony sex crime is required to register as a sex offender regardless of the victim’s age. In Illinois, sheriff’s offices are required to notify schools and child care facilities of sex offenders residing within their respective counties.

To view a listing of registered sex offenders or to find information on registered sex offenders, you can log onto the Illinois State Police website at www.isp.state.il.us. Click the Registered Sex offenders Info and click the online “List of Registered Sex Offenders”. There you can search by city, county, zip code, name, etc., for registered sex offenders in Illinois.
