Illinois State Board of Education - Early Childhood

The Illinois State Board of Education has identified early childhood education, birth through eight, as one of four priority areas for educational leadership in Illinois. As a result the Illinois State Board of Education has established the Early Childhood Block Grant, which combines three early childhood initiatives:

All three of these Early Childhood initiatives emphasize the relationship among early childhood education, parenting education and involvement, and future success in school.
