Early Intervention Services System

Early Intervention provides services for children with disabilities or at-risk conditions.

Children may be eligible for early intervention services if they have one or more of the following conditions:

Medical:
Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, diagnosed hearing or vision loss, seizure disorder, spina bifida, prematurity and other medical conditions.
Developmental Delay:
Difficulty speaking clearly or understanding language, movement difficulties and other delays.

Child & Family Connections is a program that will help families with children between birth and age three to obtain evaluations and assessments. They will also help determine eligibility for early intervention services. If eligible, an Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP) will be developed to help a child learn, grow and receive needed services.

Child & Family Connections is part of a statewide system responsible for ensuring that all referrals of children under the age of three to the Early Intervention Services System receive a timely response.
