An important role of Community Child Care Connection is to compile, analyze and disseminate data about child care supply and demand in the nine county region it serves. The child care supply data includes provider rates, schedules, capacities and other aspects of child care programs. Child care demand data includes the criteria parents are requesting in their child care search such as type of care requested, number/ages of children needing care, schedule requested, location and problems finding care. The goal of Community Child Care Connection is to provide comprehensive, accurate child care data to help make child care more affordable, accessible and available to Illinois children. The purpose behind data collection and research is to provide more improved services to child care professionals and families, to advance high quality and accessible child care programs, to inform and educate public policy makers and to contribute to research organizations that improve and promote public understanding of child care and early childhood education. ![]()
